History

Hello my name is Shawn Levine and this is my story. Back in the 40's My grandfather Saul Levine, founded Advanced Glass of Detroit, They were a medium sized Contract Glazing company that back then specialized in commercial plate storefronts and glass furniture tops, back then times were very tuff in Detroit and my father Norman Levine at the age of 13 had to begin working in the shop after school to keep up with the demand for glass products while Saul went out on installs and sales calls. In the early 60's Advanced Glass went under. In '64 Norman Levine opened the doors to a new glass company called All Bright Mirror Works and began manufacturing mirror and installing custom walls of mirror. Thanks to the new demand for custom mirrored walls the business was very successful. In the early 70's the mirror installation business became very competitive, was becoming less profitable and keeping track of installers on the road became a nightmare. So Norman Levine focused in on becoming the most automated custom heavy glass fabrication shop in the country. In the 70's most of the custom fab work was done with stone wheels and cork belts. Norman Levine was an expert on machinery and started importing Automatic European Glass machinery and began producing better quality than ever before seen in the U.S. At that time the company name changed to Glass & Mirror Craft Industries and they began shipping glass Heavy Glass Table Tops and Beveled Mirrors all across the country. Through the 80's business was very successful and in the late 80's Glass & Mirror Craft opened the doors to a brand new Glass Fabrication Plant in Atlanta, Georgia. This southern plant showed us how much demand there was for glass in the south. In 2000 Glass and Mirror Craft Detroit grew once more and built a brand new facility that consolidated both plants into one, housing some of the greatest glass working machines including a Convection tempering oven capable of producing perfect quality tempered up to 100" x 180", Kilns for bending and casting decorative and architectural glass, staging area to build engineered glass entries and structures, laminating line that can create custom artwork and images inside the glass, and plenty of room to keep all 80 employees working productively in a clean safe and beautiful environment

For fifteen years I have been working side by side with my father and the other great employee's as one of the market's leaders in custom heavy fabricated glass, Glass and Mirror Craft Industries, which was founded by my father over 42 years ago. As of March 9th, 2005 Glass and Mirror Craft Industries was sold. I have recently moved to southern Florida to explore opportunity in a new southern market. I am now using my knowledge to search out the best suppliers in the country for the best glass and glass related products. FACTORY DIRECT ANYWHERE! LOOK TO SOUTHERN FOR ALL OF YOUR DECORATIVE AND ARCHITECTURAL GLASS NEEDS.
